November is a month of
"Remembrance" Cruises and Car Shows. I will list them here after I have
attended them. Please check back.
November 26th, I received an
announcement from Duke Davis that the Wednesday Nite Cruise-In is moving
to a new location starting next week. December 1st, 2004. The "Red Fire
Grille of Kissimmee" is the newest sponsor. The location is at the
Quality Inn and Convention Center located at 2050 East Irlo Bronson (Hwy
192) between Kissimmee and Saint Cloud. Across the street from the
Denny's and just to the West of the Driving Range on the souht side of
the road. See you there!
November 20th "Mustang Mike" was invited
to Poffenbaugh Ford - Lincoln - Mercury in Saint Cloud for a "Ford" only
show. 26 cars showed! it was a good turn out and well liked by the
spectators and Dealership personal. Photos and Winners page is under
other/November 20th.
Sorry I did not make it to Old Town.
November 17th and !8th the regular
Wednesday Nite Cruise-In and the Thursday Nite Cruise-In were great as
usual. Next week we will Cruise on Wednesday but the Thursday Nite
Cruise is taking the night off for Thanksgiving.
November 13th, at Old Town, I had the privilege (as did many others)
in meeting John Sutton with Motor Snippets, a UK online Classic car
information website
www.motorsnippets.com you may even see your car on this site
as he was taking many photographs and information from "Cruisers".
November 7th we took the
Ranchero to the 5th Annual Veterans Day Car show at the Citrus Tower in
Clermont. There were about 200 cars and a few special displays,
including the Military Vehicle Restoration guys. A Fly over at 1:00
during the Veterans Day ceremony. DJ Butch Johnston called out the
Numbers and filled in the quiet with Oldies. The
"Dukes of
Harmony" were on center stage from 1:30 to 3:30. It was a good
time, had by all.
Photos can be seen here.
November 6th, at Old Town, I had the privilege of meeting Pete Stafford.
Director of Sales, of US Auto of Bedford, England. He is currently
restoring a '60 Falcon Sedan over there. His company is responsible for
getting parts and supplies overseas to help the American Car collectors
over there. There are several clubs that "Cruise" the "American Dreams"
over there. We hope to be including some photos and stories about events
in the U.K. on the www.sbcno.com
site.
Ron Hood reports from the
Veterans Day Parade in
Orlando on the 6th of November. Then the air show at
Orlando's Executive Airport.
Some of our regular "Snowbirds"
have comeback to join us. The Saturday Nite Cruise at Old Town has
gained it's strength, and 300+ cars are once again hitting Deac Hundley
Blvd. at 8:30 on Saturday Nites. The Wednesday Nite Cruise-In and
"Mustang Mike's, Saint Cloud Thursday Nite Cruise-In are also starting
to return to the pre storm attendance.
Remember to check out the
stories and photos from Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday Nites at
